Geography

Hermannhouse is situated in France on a hillside in tranquil Grospierres overlooking the Chassezac river. The municipality of Grospierres counts approx 800 inhabitants. Not far away is the city Ruoms (five kilometers) which has weekly markets, convenient stores and a pharmacy. The surroundings are the beautiful landscapes of Ardéche, which is a department of the Rhône-Alpes region bordering Provence to the south.

Getting there and away

The two nearest airports are Lyon and Nice. It takes approx two and a half hours and four hours respectively in a rented car from these airports to Hermannhouse. Lyon airport is operated by Air France on a direct route from Copenhagen with one short stop over in Strasbourg. Nice is a busy destination operated by most major airlines with many daily departures. SAS, Transavia and Norwegian fly directly from Copenhagen to Nice. All the best known rental car companies (Avis, Europcar, Hertz etc.) have offices at both airports.
